Drink n' Draw

So I really miss back in college when I'd sit in a restaurant with friends and we'd all sketch together. So I've been trying for awhile to get something lie that going again.

I mentioned it to one nameless nerd at a comic convention recently and he said "Like a Drink & Draw?" I like that term. Because it involves drinking.

So I'm in a quite a few Meetup.com groups, but had never organized one myself. Put 2 and 2 together and we have me organizing a drink & draw through Meetup.com:
Richmond Drink & Draw Sketch Group

I am now the proud papa of the Richmond Drink & Draw Sketch Group, the first meeting being Wednesday, June 4th. We'll meet at area drinking holes, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, whatever, and draw and sketch based on pre-approved themes, while having tasty beverages.

We have 18 members already in just a few days. I'm very excited.

Stuff

Indiana Jones and the Long Movie Title:
I went in with low expectations and was not disappointed. I was not overjoyed. It's just I went in with such low expectations and they pretty much met me on the same level. So I ended up not hating it, but....

21 (college students play blackjack movie...it had Kevin Spacey in it...):
I felt like I was being hammered in the brain constantly by the "theme" of the movie which was....I dunno, Vegas is different than Boston. Terrible movie. It felt like I was watching One Tree Hill or something. The only good parts were where Kevin Spacey yells at people and acts slightly like he doesn't hunger for the cock. Also, Kate Bosworth, I worry about you, please eat something. I'll even mail you a sandwich. Please eat.

Lost finale:
I was hopelessly behind on Lost. But I caught up on about 6 episodes this week, then watched the final three all in one night. Wow, after 2 years of nothing, some shit finally happened. Crazy shit. Only bad part is now we have to wait until like January for more. Cheesefucks that sucks.
